Will I need a visa to study in Singapore?

Most nationalities will be granted 30 days of stay upon arrival in Singapore. This can be extended to three months when you are in Singapore. If you plan to study for more than 3 months, you need to apply for a student pass while in Singapore. We will help you with the procedures.

The cost of applying for a student pass is S$ 730. Besides that, you will be asked to put in a security deposit, which will be refunded to you when you leave Singapore. The amount of deposit required depends on your nationality. Check here to find out how much it is for you. You will only qualify for a student pass if you study full time, and the student pass does not allow you to work in Singapore.

How do I calculate the total cost of my trip?

Determine how many weeks you want to stay and add your course cost and accommodation cost for that duration to the cost of your ticket to get to Singapore. If you don't select home stay, allow for at least another 150 SGD/week for food and other expenses. If you're in home stay, you would be able to do with as little as 50 SGD/week if you do little else than studying. Of course, this amount will increase the more you travel and enjoy Singapore's food, shopping and nightlife.
